Falmouth is made up of eight villages, which include Woods Hole, East Falmouth, West Falmouth, Falmouth Village, Teaticket, Waquoit, North Falmouth and Hatchville.

Several scientific organizations are housed in the village of Woods Hole such as the Marine Biological Laboratory, the Woods Hole Science Aquarium, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and the Woods Hole Research Center. The town is connected to the Massachusetts Route 28 and a daily ferry service connects the residents and tourists to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. The Arnie Allen Diamond hosts games of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The Falmouth Road Race, which is held annually, attracts more than 10,000 runners from around the world. Moreover, the town has a vibrant theater community, with the Highfield Theatre, Cape Cod Theatre Project and Falmouth Theatre Guild offering entertaining performances.

As far as education is concerned, the town’s public school system enrolls around 4,500 students and encompasses four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school that serve the student population. With the average high in the summers around 80 degrees, having a reliable air conditioner is important to maintain comfortable temperatures within your home.
