The town is home to many fresh water and salt-water beaches, which are accessible to the public and staffed with gate attendants, lifeguards, etc. There are also many playgrounds and parks located throughout Yarmouth offering both adults and children alike with a wide range of opportunities for recreation.

Some of the most prominent ones include Flax Pond Recreation Area, Old Town House Road Park, Sea Holly Park, Reid Avenue Playground, Long Pond, Parker’s River Beach, Wilbur Park and Yarmouth Port Playground, among others. Furthermore, two world-class golf courses - the Bayberry Hills Golf Course and Bass River Golf Course - provide golf enthusiasts with a competitive and excellent golf experience.

The Massachusetts Coastal Railroad provides freight service and Barnstable Municipal Airport is the nearest airport. With the average high in the summers around 80 degrees, it’s essential to have a good air conditioner to maintain comfortable temperatures in your home. Moreover, since the mercury drops as low as 22 in the winters, it’s recommended that you invest in a heat pump to keep your home well heated throughout the winter season.
