A city situated in Barnstable County in the state of Massachusetts, Barnstable - also known as the Town of Barnstable - has an estimated population of more than 45,200 residents. The county seat of its county, it’s the largest community on Cape Cod in terms of both population and land area. Barnstable is made up of seven different villages, each having their own distinct characteristics.

Hyannis is the largest village - it houses the Barnstable Municipal Airport, the Cape Cod Airfield, the islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard and is considered to be the central business district of Barnstable County. When it comes to education, Barnstable’s public school system currently enrolls more than 5,000 students. It encompasses of six elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. There are also a many private schools located in the city. Cape Cod Community College also calls Barnstable its home.
